Veracity Group and Hatch ran an AI hackathon in April 2024. Our team, TalonTech, came second and took home LKR 250,000.
IKMS put project management and large language models in the same window. At the time you'd plan the work in one tool, then paste the context into a chatbot somewhere else and carry the answer back by hand. We wanted the files, the conversation and the models to sit where the work already was, so asking a question about your own documents didn't mean leaving the workspace.
Three of us built it over the course of the hackathon. Thimira Nirmal and Chanuka Abeysinghe were the other two.
We signed an NDA and sold the software after the competition, so there's no repo to link and nothing running that you can try. What I can describe is what it did:
- One space for chat and files, with a choice of large language models instead of a single one.
- A shared chat, so several people could work on a question at the same time rather than one person relaying answers back to the others.
- Question rewriting. A loose prompt got reworked into something the model could answer properly before it was sent.
- Live data pulled in at the moment of the question, in whatever format it arrived in.
- Document handling that worked the same no matter which model you pointed it at.
